Displaying a chart

For graphical analysis, charts in visual energy can include up to 10 measuring parameters. Up to 4 different value axes (units) are possible. You can display default or custom charts:

Default meter point chart

Shows the meter point in the view last saved. Default charts only contain the measured values of one meter point. To display a default chart, you can click    level-time chart in the toolbar available in the meter points list   or use the distribution view.

Custom chart

You can create a custom chart from a default chart with 'Save as...'. You can then adjust the chart individually and add further meter points (also system meter points). To access custom charts, select 'Charts' from the project tree.

Notes

  • The mathematical function used to calculate the daily, weekly or monthly values depends on the respective OBIS code of the measuring parameter. This can for example mean that the consumption values are summed up while average values are formed for the temperature. The respective function used is displayed in the documentation with the OBIS code and in the 'Media' section of the master data..

Customizing the chart

Provided they have the necessary rights, users can create customized charts consisting of individual data rows and adjust the layout. Per chart, up to 10 data rows can be selected and assigned to up to 4 value axes. Click on the (2)  button to open the properties window.

General

In this area, you can define the name of the chart and set the permissible time ranges, among other things.

Axes

You can define up to 4 (X) axes as well as their unit (= OBIS value). The selected data rows are assigned automatically. To hide an axis, select an empty entry from the OBIS value list.

Data rows

In this area, you can select up to 10 data rows with their OBIS values and format the rows as required.

Permission

With permissions, you can define which users can open and view the charts. However, this authorization is only effective if you publish your chart by clicking 'Save as...'. The chart is then automatically saved with the specified file name in the 'Charts' area of the project.
