Reactive power compensation systems

The multicab-R-T compensation system provides you with automatically controlled power factor correction in the floor-standing enclosure with minimal switching delays. The thyroswitch thyristor switches enable reactive current compensation almost in real time.

Due to their unlimited switching frequency and minimal switching delay, the thyristor switches in the compensation system switch the capacitors on and off quickly and wear-free. When the capacitors are switched on in a controlled manner, no switch-on current peaks occur and the switching contacts do not wear out. his reduces the load on the capacitors, which in turn leads to a longer service life for the entire power factor correction system – a clear advantage over conventional standard contactors.
