The 3-phase reactive power controller multicomp F144-3Ph-xxx-3 is the measuring and control unit for reactive power compensation systems.

The controller is characterized by its automatic operation in 4-quadrant mode (generator mode), i.e. even when feeding back into the utility grid, missing compensation power is easily detected and compensated. This is an essential requirement, particularly in view of the increase in companies’ own generation systems, e.g. biogas or PV systems.

An integrated temperature sensor also monitors the ambient temperature in the compensation system. As soon as this exceeds a certain limit temperature, the fan is automatically activated. In this way, the high-quality reactive power controller reliably ensures high safety standards. Thanks to the 3-phase recording of voltage and current, it is possible not only to carry out conventional three-phase compensation, but also to implement single-phase compensation or even a combination of single-phase and three-phase compensation.
